C’est ainsi depuis des lustres. D\u00e8s que les beaux jours arrivent, quand l’herbe et l’eau se font rares, commence pour les bergers et leurs troupeaux (ovins et\u00a0 bovins), la longue route vers les alpages. Avant de monter \u00e0 l’estive, hommes et b\u00eates s’accordent un moment de f\u00eate. Ces f\u00eates de la transhumance ont lieu de fin avril \u00e0 fin juin, dans de nombreux villages, des Alpes aux Pyr\u00e9n\u00e9es en passant par l’Ard\u00e8che, la Dr\u00f4me, l’Aveyron, la Loz\u00e8re, l’Ari\u00e8ge et bien d’autres d\u00e9partements. En voici un aper\u00e7u:<\/p>\n

L’ Ard\u00e8che <\/strong>a ouvert le bal: la f\u00eate de la transhumance a eu lieu dimanche 20 avril \u00e0 Genestelle, sur le hameau de Bise.<\/p>\n

Le 12 mai, XXVe F\u00eate de la Transhumance \u00e0 Saint-R\u00e9my-de-Provence<\/strong>. Chaque ann\u00e9e, les troupeaux de moutons quittent la Provence. Aujourd\u2019hui effectu\u00e9 en camions, ce voyage se faisait, autrefois \u00e0 pied, n\u00e9cessitant plus de 10 jours de marche. A partir de 10h, plus de 3000 moutons des Alpilles ainsi que des ch\u00e8vres et des \u00e2nes accompagn\u00e9s de leurs bergers et de leurs chiens d\u00e9fileront 2 fois sur le tour de ville du centre ancien.<\/p>\n

En Aubrac Aveyron<\/strong>, la f\u00eate a lieu les 24 et 25 mai. Quand arrive le mois de mai, date traditionnelle de la mont\u00e9e des troupeaux vers le plateau, les animaux s\u2019impatientent comme si la montagne les appelait. Les t\u00eates des vaches sont d\u00e9cor\u00e9es de houx, fleurs, cloches et sonnailles. Le trajet du troupeau n\u2019exc\u00e8de pas les 70 km avec une vitesse moyenne de 3 \u00e0 5 km\/h. Les veaux de l\u2019ann\u00e9e rejoindront leur m\u00e8re en camion.<\/p>\n

En Ari\u00e8ge<\/strong>, du 26 mai au 16 juin, chaque vall\u00e9e ari\u00e9geoise organise cette tradition ancestrale dans une ambiance chaleureuse et bonne enfant: vaches, moutons, chevaux, mulets, prennent le chemin des estives pour y passer la belle saison.<\/p>\n

En guise d’apoth\u00e9ose, la f\u00eate de la transhumance de Die<\/strong>, cr\u00e9\u00e9e par Andr\u00e9 Pitte. C’ est toujours un \u00e9v\u00e9nement d’importance, autant social que culturel, qui attire un public tr\u00e8s large.
